The Buffalo News: CleanFiber wins $250,000 in clean-energy competition

CleanFiber, a maker of high-performance building insulation with a plant in Blasdell, won $250,000 in the 76West Clean Energy Competition.

76West named six prize-winning finalists, from a field of 19 semifinalists. CleanFiber was one of four companies to win $250,000 prizes. All six winners are required to establish some kind of connection with the Southern Tier economy.

CleanFiber, under the name UltraCell, won $500,000 as a runner-up in the 2016 edition of the 43North business plan competition.
