And We’re Back! 43North Startup Competition is Open

Two years ago and the last time we kicked off our startup competition, we were an accelerator that was seeing growth with rising stars in our portfolio. Today, as we officially open our seventh competition and search for our next cohort, we’re an accelerator with a unicorn and publicly traded company among our ranks, and a deep bench of up and comers who collectively fill out a nearly $6B portfolio valuation. Our home in Buffalo looks a lot different too, as does our view which now overlooks Lake Erie from the 24th floor of Seneca One Tower. It’s a good time to be a startup in Buffalo and we’re ready to add more to the pack!

If you’re new here, welcome! 43North is a Buffalo, NY-based accelerator that invests $5M annually through one of the world’s largest startup competitions. The competition is geared towards seed-stage startups, offering founders a chance to secure up to $1 million in funding and land a spot in 43North’s accelerator program. If you’re a founder with domain expertise, traction with customers, and a strong team, we want to hear from you!
